LeaseWeb expands its Cloud infrastructure to the U.S.

LeaseWeb, a leading global infrastructure provider, announced today that it has launched its Cloud product in the U.S. The launch is part of LeaseWeb’s wider strategy to rapidly expand its global IaaS footprint.

Designed for maximum redundancy and with CloudStack technology at the core, the LeaseWeb Cloud enables customers to spin up cloud servers at the push of a button, backed by a premier customer portal to provision and manage network, compute and storage resources.

LeaseWeb entered the U.S. market in January 2011 with a new headquarters and data center. The highly-anticipated geographic expansion enabled LeaseWeb to deliver its reputation as a global provider of infrastructure services to the United States and, subsequently, continue its trend of success that originated in Europe. Robert van der Meulen, Cloud Manager at LeaseWeb, says, “Our customer base is growing fast and our pace of innovation has been incredible, with our Cloud platform selling thousands of cloud instances since our launch.”

William Schrader, CEO of LeaseWeb USA “We have witnessed exceptional growth since we opened our U.S. data center. Last year we successfully launched our leading platform in the U.S. that let our customers deploy physical servers instantly, while providing them with the ability to fully customize their service. I am excited that our customers can now also easily spin up new cloud instances in our U.S. data center. Our historical success underpins this latest development as we take our first step into the U.S. cloud market.“
